Replacement
1.
Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds.
2.
Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.
3.
Remove the airbag module.
(Refer to Restraint - "Driver Airbag (DAB) Module and Clock Spring")
4.
Disconnect the connector & lock nut (A) and then remove the steering wheel using the special service tool (09561-11001).

Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 49.0N-m (4.0 ~ 5.0kgf-m, 28.9 ~ 36.2lb-ft)

   
Do not use a hammer when removing the steering wheel as it may damage the steering column.
Do not reuse lock nuts.
Lock nuts must be replaced with new ones when assembling. (SEAL-LOCK has been processed)
5.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Disassembly
1.
Loosen the screw (A-6ea) and then remove the lower cover (B) from the steering wheel body.

2.
Remove the wiring (A) & Heated unit (B).

3.
Remove the remote control upper switch assembly (A) and wiring.

4.
Loosen the screw and then remote control switch assembly (A).

5.
Installation is the reverse of the removal.
